Karen Chapman
Job Title: Consultant Family Solicitor
Karen has worked in legal practice since 1994 and has a breadth of experience across the whole spectrum of family law. She previously established and ran her own prominent family law practice which was later acquired by the UK’s largest family law specialist.
She specialises in asset protection and the resolution of complex financial matters upon divorce and relationship breakdown and frequently deals with cases involving complex business structures, overseas assets, pensions and trusts. Karen regularly drafts pre and post nuptial agreements and also deals with all aspects of the law relating to children. She successfully acts for an equal number of men and women

Awards and Accolades
Karen is one of a limited number of family lawyers who have obtained the Resolution Accredited Specialist Status in advanced financial provision (complex money cases), cohabitation and financial provision for children and is a trained Family Mediator. She is a member of the British Association of Adoption and Fostering and obtained the Joseph Jackson Memorial Prize for matrimonial practice.
Re: M (Abduction Consent, Acquiesence) [1998] 1FLR 171 successfully representing a defendant mother in Child Abduction proceedings under the Hague Convention.
C-R (Fact finding) [2013] EW Misc 30 (CC) 8 day fact finding trial in private law proceedings successfully establishing more than 36 separate findings of fact in private law children proceedings.
On a Personal Note
Karen lives in North London with her partner and two children. When she is not supporting her children with their (many) hobbies she enjoys travelling far and wide, playing tennis, good food and good wine and a love hate relationship with the gym.
