A lawyer who has spent 15 years dealing with some of the most contentious family disputes in the country has joined Setfords London.
Jeremy Ford comes to the firm from the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass Legal) where he specialised in acting for children in the High Court.
Providing expertise and advocacy in diverse matters including international surrogacy, leave to remove, medical treatment and same-sex parenting, Jeremy has appeared twice in the Supreme Court, and has an impressive catalogue of reported cases. Complementing this wide-ranging experience, he has invaluable links to an international network of independent social workers, therapists and medical experts. Combined, this gives Jeremy unparalleled insight into the requirements of the courts and Cafcass, while seeking outcomes that focus on the child’s best interests.
Supporting less adversarial resolutions within family disputes, Jeremy’s experience and skill has led to his appointment as an independent children’s arbitrator. The youngest ever to achieve this appointment, he helps to settle disputes through this increasingly popular non-judicial processes.
